Typing

Typing is hard. Usually you don't even think about it because your muscle memory works for you. And you do not remember how you learned it in the first place. But if you were to start anew - it would be a slow and difficult process.

That is why this post is going to be quite short. You see, I'm trying to learn proper touch typing. Of course, being a software developer I did not look at the keyboard when typing and was generally fairly fast - but I typed rather haphazardly, without proper skill. I could type at around 60 Words Per Minute (WPM). It's not bad, but not that great either. Apparently there is a way you could learn to type better and faster.

However, getting there takes time and effort. And I just started re-training myself earlier today. Did about an hour on https://www.typingclub.com struggling through words with the lowest WPM possible. And right now while I'm typing this  I'm going very slowly carefully pressing every letter, making sure I'm using the finger I'm supposed to. I must say, it's very annoying.

However, once I'm through the initial learning curve I should be able to easily type much faster and with higher accuracy than ever before. Or so I'm promised. I guess  we'll have to see.

Wish me luck!
